SKIL POP UP MINI TOOL KITS – SET OF 3 $9.99 plus $5 shipping

Skil Pop-Up Mini Tool Kits – Set of 3http://deals.woot.com/?page=3 These may not be one of the sexiest things on earth, but they sure do come in handy. Since Moms know that men only think they use stuff like this more than we do, it is nice to have a handy set like this around the house. Moms do their fair share of fixing, toy/gadget/thiny opening, bike seat fixeting…to know we need a nice neat set of tools handy at all times. And for around $15 bucks this little set is all you will probably need for those, must-do/must-have-right-now projects that seem to crop up daily.

TIMEX DIAMONDS $29.99

51e-zaey2dshttp://www.dynamitetime.com/products/timex-diamonds-t2m582 WOW SERIOUSLY!!!!! I just had to go check this out to make sure that it is real and it is $29.99 plus $4.oo shipping. This is insane these watches retail for $225.00 this is an amazing deal and they have quite a selection at dynamitetime.com. The only downside is that the site looks a little shady. I mean the savings are really significant, but you can only contact them through a website, no phone numbers and they don’t usually allow returns. They do have a facebook page and seem to satisfy orders, but I would just offer a word of caution when dropping $29.99 on a $200 dollar watch. However, with a deal this good, it just may be worth the risk.

Okay…enjoy your shopping.

Baby Clothes on the Cheap

As the recession continues to make it difficult for moms to pay for groceries, the mortgage, and diapers, moms also have a more difficult time buying baby clothes so often.  Babies need new clothes every two or three months at most and many families cannot handle the costs during these hard times.  Thankfully babies also grow out of their clothes while they still look new and thousands of other moms sell their clothes or give them away to others that could really use them.  Many parents can’t see the need to toss their child’s clothes when they are still in great condition, it’s wasteful.  Money is too darn tight right now but a few sites can help you save a bundle of cash over any store.

Ebay is world famous for good reason.  There are mothers across the country posting baby clothes online, very cheap, for fellow mothers to get a bargain for them.  One mom cleans out the closet for much needed space and another gets clothes for cents.  Deals like these will help the wallet while keeping the baby clothed.  Browsing thousands of items that Ebay has to offer could take too much time but the whole process can be done in a couple minutes by narrowing down the search to gender, size, price, condition of items, and time left in the bid or buy now options with a few easy clicks.

Another great site is similar to Ebay but it’s only moms and baby items trading throughout America.  Moms trade each other for clothes and toys, paying only shipping for the items they mail in the trade, to get the items they need at cheaper prices than Target.  The site is free to join and trade.  ThredUp is also smaller than Ebay in terms of users and posts so it may take less time to find some great lots but it is a trade site so if you have nothing to trade, then Ebay is a better option or the others to be mentioned next.

For local, cash only deals, Craig’s List has classified-style listings in your local area for all sorts of items and a baby section of items other moms have for sale like clothes, toys, crib mattresses, and high chairs.  Find the goods you need then meet somewhere to pay and pick them up.  Set up a time to meet at the store at the time you will be going anyway to save some gas money.  Many moms will sell a big bag or box of clothes for $10 or less that would cost $30-40 in a store.  The other benefit is that moms can see the items in person before making the decision to purchase and request more pictures from the seller before meeting to buy.

For moms that prefer the stores to buy new clothes, Target very often has excellent prices and clearance items for $1 each like onesies and pants or visit stores such as TJ Maxx and Marshall’s that have affordable prices on everything and name brands to be cheaper than department stores and baby stores.  These stores are in many areas and cities, so go to their websites and find the store nearest your location.

Freecycle is the cheapest of them all because things are only allowed to be given away and everyday, moms give away clothes, toys, bikes, cribs, and other items.  The site is also free to use and browse to get all of it for free; just email the person to pick them up or meet somewhere in town.

Before the internet came to be, moms used their old fashioned resources of friends, family, and co-workers to hand them down clothes and other items so ask around and have others ask also; usually there will be someone to step forward to lend what you need.

Clothes on a dime, or less

Kids grow so fast. Babies need new clothes every couple months, teenagers every six months, and the ages in between can be a year or not even close before those back to school clothes are completely grown out of. Infants get fat and older kids get taller; so in the constant cycle of needing to keep fitting shirts on our children’s backs, how can moms keep up with the growth rate and prices at the same time?

Clothing is not cheap and the older a child becomes, the more expensive clothing and shoes become as well. Teenagers are picky and it’s about this time in their lives that they hate you for not being an invisible mute; so taking them in public for new clothes embarrasses them to no end and they become even more uncoorperative but leaving a fifteen year old with cash or a credit card is insane so a mom either takes the stubborn adolescent to the mall or tries to wing it alone to come home and learn he hates them; both cause migraines so to the mall together you go, grinning and bearing it somehow.

Most families head to malls and large shopping centers to get all the shopping done in one close area if possible but an even smarter way to shop is to avoid the mall and expensive retail places all together because there are some alternatives that keep the same brands and styles but at far better prices than most other places anywhere.

Tj Maxx and Marshall’s offer goods from other companies that sold them wholesale after excess inventory from other stores so their shoppers get bargain deals on the same items as in department stores and the local mall. Teens and kids can find cool shirts from Hurley, Billabong, Roxy, and others while everyone else can find Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Carter’s for the baby, and name brand jeans at discount prices for everyone. Mom will also find outrageous deals on handbags from Dooney and Bourke, high heeled pumps, leather boots, and even Coach shoes. Marshall’s has the Shoe Mega Shop for Mom to browse for herself and the kids. Both stores also have a men’s section, home, gourmet food, and even sell baby toys cheap. Get the maxx for the dollar!

Infants especially need a constantly updated wardrobe.   Before their clothes even show signs they’ve been worn before, they are ready to be packed away into a box somewhere, but the good news is every mom has this issue with children of all ages so they sell their gently used items worn only a few times in good condition on sites like Ebay and Craig’s List for only a few bucks to make a little money while cleaning out the closet for the new items. Why not save a grip of cash on clothes still new but much cheaper, direct from a fellow mother looking to unload them instead of throwing them away to go to the dump?

Many moms post plenty of lots or a few lots for way less than any store would sell them for.   This lot on Craig’s List was recently posted, going for a small amount of cash for all of these items; a real deal.

Ebay has some fantastic deals but there are so many huge lots of clothes to sort through so to narrow down the search a little, try a few of these recently added lots to get started.

Most sellers prefer their buyers to pay with a Paypal account because they are much safer for online shopping and purchases are guaranteed. Paypal is free and easy to start an account, just link a credit card or two, then shop thousands of places online with more security over the web and complete payment transactions in seconds. Craig’s List is still a cash transaction of course as it works with sellers in person.

A third option is joining freecycle.org to meet with local moms like Craig’s List only this site is for free items. Moms would rather give their baby’s old items to another mom rather than the landfill so they post a message of clothes, toys, videos, and even high chairs on a first come, first serve basis to get rid of items taking up too much space in their home or storage when other Freecycle mothers are so in need of items on a small budget.

Visit the site, join for free in a minute, then have emails sent daily of all the items being offered for free. Other users also get rid of things during spring cleanings and moving so desks, dressers, tv and computer screens are listed for free to get rid of in a hurry for people trying to move quickly with less stuff to take to the new house. Everything offered on Freecycle is always absolutely free, it’s the rules! Seriously.

How To Give Your Home and Your Life Some Exotic Touches

You may still be in the throws of your New Year’s remodeling project and you could have hit a bit of a creative wall. I know that after I’ve done the painting and re-arranged (thrown out or gotten new) furniture, I still feel, at times, that the decor is lacking. And while places like IKEA are great for adding those finishing touches, I often want something just a little more exciting. And, while I am not one to knock Ikea, by any means, because they have literally saved my children’s childhood by making simple, sturdy products, I still often crave a little Je ne sais quois. So here are a few ways to add some exotic flare to your home and life.

First of all think of places you wish you could visit, especially now that the cold weather may be driving everyone a bit batty. If you are not in the cold, you probably are not able to take that amazing summer vacation just yet either, so people get a little stir crazy around this time of year. So think of a place you would like to be and try to recreate it in your home. Here are some fun suggestions:

FRANCE

Ah the scent of coffee and croissants filling the Parisian air…

Try this GREAT website that has all things French for reasonable prices. You can buy cool stuff for the kids, kitchen or living areas that really bring the spirit of France to your front door.

http://www.idreamoffrance.com/home.php

I am a sucker for kids plates and this website carries some adorable French, children’s tableware.

Baby Cie Jungle TV Tray These are a little pricey at $16.99 each but you only need a couple to turn your dinner table into a French cafe.

Of course what French cafe is complete with out the beautiful French table cloth. These too are a bit expensive ($37 to $99) but cost less than plane fare.  Couleur Nature Lemon Tree Yellow-Blue Tablecloths/Runners/Napkins this one caught my eye and was only $37.99. They also have great deals on soaps and moisturizes, clothes and ALL  THINGS  that will give your life a little touch of French flavor. I absolutely love this site and will visit often.

ITALY

Maybe you crave the cities, countrysides or ocean vistas of Italy. You can have pasta, olive oil and a gondola ride without ever leaving your living room. (Well maybe not the gondola ride, but add a nice glass of Italian wine and you never know). The All Things Italian food store has lots of authentic Italian cuisine, tableware and little accents that will bring Italy home.

All Things Italian - Specialty Food Store

http://www.all-things-italian.com/products.php?cat=66

Olive Wood Medium GraterThis looks like fun, an authentic Parmesan cheese grater for $38.00 (the kind the restaurants use) http://www.all-things-italian.com/proddetail.php?prod=2310 I love good cheese and nothing is better than fresh grated cheese on pasta lightly sauteed in olive oil, garlic, tomatoes and fresh basil and to add to your culinary adventure they also have these Italian Cities Espresso CupsItalian cities espresso cups for $36.00 http://www.all-things-italian.com/proddetail.php?prod=171718. Nothing better than a rich cup of coffee after a satisfying meal to help you feel like you live in Tuscany or Venice. They offer olive oil soap for $3.00 http://www.all-things-italian.com/proddetail.php?prod=50111

Colavita Sole-Vita Soap

and a olive oil dipping plate $3.00 Olive Oil Dipping Plate

They also have a bunch of great gift and food items for a fun dinner party or special night with the family.

JAPAN

Japanese things tend to lend to the idea of piece and tranquility  with Japan’s connection to modern design and Zen philosophies. I have to say that in our busy household, Japanese influenced things are very welcome as they bring a sense of calm to the place. Here are a few online stores that offer good prices and exotic items that will help your home feel like a vacation in Tokyo.

KORIN FINE JAPANESE TABLEWARE AND KNIVES

Korin, Fine Japanese Tableware and Knifes

http://korin.com/site/home.html Have great sales and some exquisite items, that you can splurge on and not break the bank. coralblue-cat-s.jpg

They have this lovely dish set, which is fun and exotic available from $6 to $50 a piece, with discounts on bulk orders. If you don’t want to spend a bunch, just order a few pieces to accent your table and add beauty and tranquility to any gathering or meal. http://korin.com/Shop/Coral-Blue-NEW

GF-180-608_t.jpg Serve coffee or tea in these stunning cups with wooden coasters and spoons for only $22.00. This is also a fun way to serve desert. 🙂 http://korin.com/BlackSilverTeaSet?sc=7&category=142641

MARUKAI STORE ONLINE

I also like a store called Marukai Online at Marukaiestore.com http://www.marukaiestore.com/ You can get this great shoji screen that will transform any living space into two spaces or add an exotic flare. At $64.oo each it is much cheaper than adding an extra room. I use Shoji screens to separate my office from the rest of the house. ASIA DIRECT HOME PRODUCTS SHOJI SCREEN 3 PANEL (CHERRY) 53.15x66.9inhttp://www.marukaiestore.com/p-353-asia-direct-home-products-shoji-screen-3-panel-cherry-5315x669in.aspx Also cover a window or a doorway using these exotic “noreen” used at the entrances of bars and cafes, this will give your home an exotic look and create a sense of privacy. I like to use these on kitchen entry ways and hallways that lead to…(ah hem)…messy kids rooms.  This is like a piece of art that will totally transform your space and is not a bad deal at $75.oo each considering how much doors cost. http://www.marukaiestore.com/p-349-kyoto-seni-co-noren-four-seasons-3465x59in.aspx

KYOTO SENI CO. NOREN FOUR SEASONS 34.65X59in

OVERSTOCK.COM WORLD STOCK FAIR TRADE

This is just the coolest site for many reasons, their shipping is only $2.95 and the World Stock market has many amazing finds for really great prices. http://www.overstock.com/Worldstock-Fair-Trade/6/store.html Like this reclaimed wood vase from India $24.99 http://www.overstock.com/Worldstock-Fair-Trade/Reclaimed-Wood-Textile-Covered-Vase-India/4676269/product.html or this interesting face panel from India. Teak Wood Buddha Face Panel with Stand (India) $44.49 http://www.overstock.com/Worldstock-Fair-Trade/Teak-Wood-Buddha-Face-Panel-with-Stand-India/5160866/product.html and this incredible mirror from Thailand Recycled Wood Maha Jigsaw Framed Mirror (Thailand)$79.99 http://www.overstock.com/Worldstock-Fair-Trade/Recycled-Wood-Maha-Jigsaw-Framed-Mirror-Thailand/5595179/product.html

Take time to look over these sites and set your budget and add a few items this winter that make you feel like you have taken a summer vacation when it is still snowing outside. Enjoy!

The Power of an Exchange

Most kids love to play sports and be outdoors but as they begin to join teams for their school and the city leagues, the cost for them to play, climbs quickly.

Beginner equipment is generally not very expensive but as they need to improve their game and as their skills improve, the basic gear will no longer be right for them. Advanced athletic equipment is certainly not cheap and while tennis and golf are still the most expensive sports, soccer, football, and baseball are still very pricey as are many other activities. Just walk around an athletic store to watch how the price tags keep climbing for baseball mits, tennis racquets, cleats, shoes, and other gear; the costs are astounding. Do some of these items really cost all the way up to a couple hundred dollars? Oh yes they do. Everything your child needs to play a sport may easily reach $100. An average seems to be out $60 for each item including an outfit, gear bag, shoes, cleats, bat, and gloves but right there, the Benjamins are already mounting up and this stuff will likely need to all be purchased again for the next season.

Since every child grows like magic beans every year, it might be wise to buy clothing items and shoes a size bigger or do an item exchange. Family and friends may have some things their own kids grew out of quickly like cleats, bats, shin guards, etc. that they may be willing to hand down to your family to save a lot of cash. Even if they only last a season or less, it’s nice to have some items for free that get you through as long as they can but it is likely that someone we know has some things that will last at least a full season such as a baseball mit, balls, gear bag, clothes and warm up sweats, or shoes in some cases. Most moms wouldn’t mind giving their childrens’ old stuff away to get out of the garage or instead of tossing them in the garbage so it never hurts to ask around and see if anyone might be able to save you a few hundred bucks every sport season.

A Mom exchange of all of these items and others starting at birth, makes a whole lot of sense. Every parent has stuff that is still new when the child becomes to0 big for it and most moms love to find good use for them instead of packing goods into boxes to possibly never be used again in an attic for fifty years or discarded in a landfill.

A nationwide mother exchange or a smaller geographical area, can be done with the help of the internet. Freecycle is awesome for this. Every single day people near you are posting items 100% for free as they move and need to unload stuff, as kids grow, and as they no longer want many things. Some people give away their old televisions and computer monitors after they buy new ones but know it’s completely wasteful to sit in the garage or the dump so they find someone who could really use one. People moving often post furniture such as couches and desks for free and all you have to do is pick them up in town, it’s that easy and free. Moms do the same thing with baby clothes, bikes, high chairs, and other items their kids stopped playing with so you may find a mom who has a son or daughter no longer playing baseball or football with gear and cleats to give away.

Craig’s List offers a very similar front. Their website not only has their famous classifieds of items for sale by others at very low prices but they also have a trade and barter section so people can do item exchanges, and just like Freecycle, they have a free board that anyone can look at to see if something they could use is available near them for no cost. Everyone has something in good condition they no longer need or use.

Just a small step above these two sites is the world famous Ebay. Ebay is well known internationally with thousands of sellers selling all of their own gently used items online for less than store prices but it also has local classifieds for people to post for sale and want ads of items they have or need so anyone near them can find what they need and buy it near by. If nothing you need is listed, then the online sellers will have it for a good price, and buying only takes a couple seconds.

Thredup is a mothers exchange for clothes and toys but also other items so moms can browse some clothes like athletic apparel or items that would be perfect for the kids to practice in. Moms simply swap and ship in a trade transaction with another mother to rid the clutter and replace with the things they need. The community of mothers is wonderful and the World Wide Web has made it possible for them to connect in ways never before. Imagine how many hundreds or thousands of dollars you would save if you got so much for free or a lot for only a few bucks? Maybe a couple car payments or mortgage payments? Definitely possible.

Finding Your Way Around The Dollar Store

Okay, so we are just a little broke right now and I think so is most of the country. The economy still isn’t great and as I have discussed before a lot of us are recovering financially from the holidays. One local resource for savings that is often overlooked is the dollar store. A lot of people brush off dollar stores as places that sell cheap stuff for cheap people and in part that is correct, but there is a lot of wonderful discoveries you can find if you just go in with the right attitude.

Like shopping thrift stores, dollar stores are places where you need to go in with an adventurous attitude and be ready to find a great deal. You can either shop a local store near your home, a large chain dollar store or shop online, however you plan to approach the dollar store, there are amazing deals to be found.

What are good things to buy at overstock/discount stores? Well, dollar stores are great places to find cleaning products, canned goods, party supplies and decorations, and paper products. Actually after shopping at regular stores for similar items you may get a sense of being ripped off, if you see how inexpensively you can buy these same items at a dollar store. Here are a few samples of items you can find.

THE DOLLAR TREE

http://www.dollartree.com/home.jsp

Dollar Tree

This national store chain with many locations throughout the United States, what is really great about this store is that they also offer an online store, so you can still get great savings without leaving the house. Here are some of the deals that they are running today.

Mambo Striped Wine Glasses, 10.5 oz.

A set of 12 drinking glasses are $12, thats a great price @ a dollar a piece.

http://www.dollartree.com/party-supplies/Solid-Colors-Seasonal/Solid-Colors-Seasonal/Red-Party-Ensemble/207c343c343e16/index.ens

With Valentines Day coming up, how about throw a fun party with these red table decorations. Each order comes with 24 packs of 20 plates, what a great deal if you are throwing a bash for teenagers or a group of friends. They also have great deals on candy and other valentines oriented products.

99 CENTS ONLY STORE

http://www.99only.com/

Another national dollar store chain is the 99 Cents Only Store that has locations all over the United States. This place is great because they offer fresh produce, a frozen and refrigerated food aisle, canned goods, baked goods, seasonal products, toys, make up…you name it, all for, yep ONLY 99 cents. As you see how much your grocery bills add up each week, if you have a tight week were you are low on cash flow or are simply just trying to cut costs, having produce and good quality food products at the 99 cent store can really be great for a tight budget. This way you know that you are still providing healthy food for your family, while also staying on budget.

The other great thing about this dollar store is that they too have an online bulk commerce site for part planning or bulk shopping. Here are some of the great deals they offer on their Club 99 site:

They have disposable containers in bulk priced at $48 for 48 packages of 5 each, so if you are big on making things and giving them away or freezing stuff or just like to have a lot of containers around this is a really good deal.

KOLE IMPORTS

http://www.koleimports.com/

This site has a great selection of cool imports and stuff for really great prices. It is another bulk shopping site, but it is easy to use and also has some great prices. Here is one of the deals that I found.

A pack of pails with shovels for $18.96, that is a great summer party gift and for a dollar each, what a steal. The only downside is there is a hundred dollar minimum order, but if you are buying in bulk to stock up, a hundred dollars adds up pretty fast and in the long run, you have saved a lot of money.

While shopping online at dollar stores, seems to only be for wholesale items, these savings can be helpful if you are stocking up or planning for a party or charity donation.

If you want the most immediate savings, then shop your local dollar store.

Just one word of caution, make sure you check the expiration dates and also look at the packaging to make sure that nothing is too off, like mispelled words on recognized brands, because this could be a tip that it is counterfeit.

Have fun out there and find a great deal!

Organic, Natural, and Eco-Friendly

The natural and organic craze is on the rise as parents learn about new products with less dangerous chemicals and more environmentally friendly items in toys, soaps, foods, and clothing.

As more science and research indicate they are healthier for children, stores are

investing in the growing trends and offering a wider array of green products.

Earth’s Best organic foods offer baby formula, infant cereals, jarred foods, and snacks as well as Full Circle that has cereals for the whole family and also has many snacks for kids in addition to the jarred foods like the ones to the left. These increasingly more common brands can be found at supermarkets nationwide and even stores like Target or Walmart in some areas.

Whole Foods stores and wholefoods.com are grocery stores committed to selling all things healthy and natural for food and everyday items, including diapers and wipes that are made without harsh chemicals like chlorine bleach and they biodegrade better than Pampers and Huggies brand diapers.

Unfortunately not every town has a promising market for these items currently; but the internet has made it possible for anyone, anywhere to purchase organic and natural wipes, diapers, foods, toys, clothes, and even blankets online and many sites offer free shipping on orders over $49 that can arrive to your front door within two business days or even overnight. Moms can purchase organic cotton items like blankets, burp cloths, and cloth diapers or natural and organic baby shampoos to be shipped to their home.

Websites such as drugstore.com have a whole section in their online store dedicated to the natural and organic movement like diapers, wipes, diaper cream, and baby lotion. They also sell natural, organic items for the whole family and personal care items for Mom.

Diapers.com is another site that has their own section of green products for eco-conscious shoppers like mothers and they offer free shipping overnight to most locations in the US for any purchase over $49. This website also sells strollers, car seats, playpens, and much more.

These two sites even let moms purchase their order straight from a PayPal account for even more security while purchasing online and entering credit card numbers to keep their identity safe.

Amazon.com is famous for selling everything like discount textbooks, movies, electronics, and the phenomenon Kindle, but it also sells everything baby and that includes natural and organic items from thousands of vendors all over the country. Moms can buy green products for the baby, organic and natural grocery items, more easily and in only a few minutes. Just search “organic baby” and an incredible

list of toys and clothing immediately pops up, like this darling toy for young babies and toddlers to learn about fruits and vegetables and have a cute toy to carry around.

This Green Sprouts Stacking Cup Set is made with nice colors, safer plastic, and a great learning tool for infants, costing only $6.

Purchase gift baskets for you or someone else that include organic toys, diapers, and creams or even build a gift registry perfect for a baby shower or birthday, as well as a personal wish list to add and purchase items later on but keep them saved for future shopping.

For more unique and boutique style items and apparel, try miniappletree.com. Their adorable site has only natural and organic products, also accepting PayPal, and it is very easy for mothers to log on quickly, buy and get back to the baby in a hurry after selecting from precious 100% organic clothing from Kate Quin organics and Green To Grow bottles and dishes made from corn! They carry several brands that offer special one-of-a-kind baby blankets like this beautiful set in pink or blue along with the rest of the SWADDLE DESIGNS product line. DANDELION also makes natural dishes from corn that are better for the environment when the time comes to throw them out. Check out these cute hooded towels that kids love and they make great photo moments the grandparents will love as much as Mom and Dad.

For toys, Mini Apple Tree offers a collection of natural wood toys not treated with chemicals, made from trees and plants grown without pesticides, painted from paints that do not contain lead and other chemicals known to cause allergies and asthma as well as neurological defects. Browse puzzles, blocks, and creativity toys like this ocean weave board but they offer many other themes for different children’s’ likes too.

Local baby stores and even places such as Target may also have natural and organic toys that will vary upon location but may be worth a look for some great new finds.
All of these places will sell natural and organic products and foods for the whole family because the whole house needs to be healthy for the well-being of the entire family year after year.

Save Big Money and Hours of Stress

Diapers.com is a real one-stop-shop for busy mothers that need to do their shopping in a hurry and wouldn’t mind getting great deals that beat Walmart and Target stores.  This website is far beyond just a diaper warehouse, it is a full store to buy almost everything a mother needs to care for her children in record time with free overnight shipping to save hours of time in stores and driving around, not to mention plenty of cash savings and hassles of busy stores

with a newborn and/or terrible-twos toddler.

Diapers.com is easy to navigate around and the homepage has directional buttons to help moms find everything they need very quickly so a mother can buy in seconds and get back to the crazy household in a hurry before naptime is over.

Mothers-t0-be will also love this site because the site not only has an amazing registry but even sells maternity wear.  Find cribs, strollers, bottles, clothes, formula, diapers, wipes, toys, and even eco-friendly green products for the environmentally conscious.  This site has literally everything a mom needs right now and will need and the prices rock!

Read product reviews from other mothers who bought the items you are browsing and see what they had to say about that particular car seat before you buy it.  Read to see if it is easy to install, switch cars, and comfortable for little ones to sleep during the car ride.  Don’t guess and hope all will work out, get the facts and advice from other mothers who know first hand.

While shopping for extra bottles and pacifiers, take a look at the deals on jogging strollers and playpens while you’re there and if also building a registry, these are great items to add to it.

A tub of formula at Target or a grocery store will cost anywhere between $17-$22 but at diapers.com, the cost is usually the same but moms will get more for the same price.  For instance: A can of formula costs about $20 at a local Walmart but on diapers.com the price is the same while the can had 20% more every order.  Spend $50 and the overnight shipping is free so the order will arrive the next business day to the front door at no extra cost while Mommy never had to leave the house or rush from work; it was all done while the kids sleep and no driving to stores, waiting in long lines, and getting less for the same price because it’s all done in seconds, though after visiting this site, you’ll want to spend a lot more time than that to shop for all kinds of great items while in pjs.

Mothers and any woman about to be a mother will just love this site because of its prices and convenience and expectant mothers can prepare their registry while on bedrest because they never have to get up and go to the store.  Just relax while building a list of everything you will need in one place, with ease.  Family and friends can buy the times in a flash online and have them delivered to you the next day or have them sent to their home to bring to the shower and gift certificates are also available so they can give you a jump on any extra items that need to be purchased after the bundle of joy is born or before he or she arrives.

Convenience while saving a whole lot of time and money is important to every mother and that is exactly what diapers.com does.

Now it is possible this site will not have every single item you need and luckily here on dry land there are some places that can get moms the other things they need while still saving gas money from driving place to place and hours of much needed time.  Wholesale clubs such as Sam’s Club and Costco are two of those places that can help in similar ways diapers.com does and certainly cheaper than grocery stores and box stores such as Target and Walmart, plus they sell clothes too.

For other places online, search Amazon.com through thousands of vendors offering formula, food, clothes, toys, and other items though prices will vary amongst sellers.

Every mom will go through thousands of diapers, wipes, scoops of formula, bottle liners, burp cloths, cloth diapers, or onesies so why not buy them all now, save hundreds at least, save hours and hours, and all the hassle?  Costco and Sam’s Club

will drastically lower your annual food costs and diapers.com will significantly lower the costs of baby and toddler items with extreme convenience.  The savings

from these places will total a few car payments or even a mortgage payment each

year.

Broke After the Holidays

December is a month of spending for a majority of families that prepare for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.  The average household spends so much on food and gifts for visiting relatives during the holiday season and all of those costs add up, so come January when the bills and bank statements come in, millions feel broke enough to cut out luxuries like movies and eating out as well as the grocery items they buy, and the kids are stuck suffering through an endless plight of Top Ramen until February.

Going from juices and chips to what resembles a prison meal makes for some cranky kids when they’re stuck with store brand cereal that tastes like tree bark instead of their usual Cheerios or Frosted Flakes.  Switching to all generic brands and cutting costs on all snacks is one way to save money to pay mounting bills but there are other ways to do so as well that are less taxing and better tasting.

Wholesale vendors are excellent ways to save money on yearly grocery costs.  When consumers shop at places like Sam’s Club and Costco, they are paying a much lower unit and overall cost.  With a small annual fee, shoppers get bulk prices to buy more at once and save on trips to the grocery store and the expense of buying here and there.  Everyday items like cheese, eggs, bread, cereal, and meats are much cheaper for most families at these stores.  For instance, a 2 lb. block of cheese at a grocery store will cost about $9 while Costco has the same brand of cheese for $6 at 2 ½ pounds per block.

Sam’s Club and Costco have great deals on diapers and training pants too.  A pack of Pampers Baby Dry size 3 diapers will cost $38.98 for 204 count while Wal-Mart will sell a 112 count of the same item for almost the same price.  Wholesale stores give a lot more for less money or more for the same price at other retailers so even at the same price, a mom will still get the most for the buck.

Everyday grocery stores such as Albertsons and Vons have free club cards that help save on items and run special sales just for cardholders.  They often run sales that will save $2-3 off a single item or buy one get one free specials on things like Breyer’s ice cream flavors that the whole family will love.  Look through the sales that appeal to your family then coordinate the week’s meals around them to save cash and take advantage of store specials.  Of course buying the store brands will also help consumers save money on cereal, bread, soup, etc.

Gas prices are down right stupid these days.  Most cities are now well over $3 per gallon so planning your errand route ahead of time can help save gas.  Plan the stops that need to be made and what needs to be purchased where, then plan a sensible route that won’t have you guzzling gas all over town and wasting time.  In addition to carpooling, route planning, once again the wholesale markets help save on gas expenses too.  These places not only help save a lot of gas money from running around and constantly going to the store, but their one-stop-shop approach also includes filling up the tank because they offer gas at discount prices over the normal pumps so Mom can save time, thousands of dollars a year, and stress by doing as much as she can in one place then heading back home to be with the family.  For time-crunched mothers running out of hours to go to the store, visit Costco.com and Samsclub.com to shop also.

Kids always need clothes and infants and toddlers are consistently in need as they grow out of outfits every week.  To the rescue are Ebay, Craig’s List, and Freecycle.

Lot of boys' toys

Lot of boys' toys

These fantastic websites sell children’s clothes and toys, often for less than 50¢ per item!  A recent post on Ebay.com has this lot of clothes for a big bargain of gently used items that were grown out of.  Lots of toys like these are sold at www.craigslist.org.  At www.freecycle.org, mothers can find absolutely free offers of dozens of other moms looking to clear out

Lot of toys for sale

clutter.

Everyday families move and clean house and instead of just tossing their baby’s old clothes into the dump or fiddling with Ebay, they offer them on Freecycle to anyone in need of clothes that is on a very small budget or not looking for brand new items.

Just go to these websites and search your surrounding areas to connect with other parents getting rid of old clothes, toys, bikes, beds, television sets, and just about anything else you can imagine for no charge, ever.
