Woo hoo, its President’s Day, take a few minutes to honor dead presidents….done! Okay SHOP! Seriously, I am not that terse about the greatness of our historic leaders. I do have to say, though, I love having a three day weekend with the family and enjoying a holiday that isn’t heaped with traditions and holiday planning. President’s day is more about spending time with the family and having fun together. And…well, shopping, of course.

Sears is having a President’s Day sale and offering free shipping on orders of $99 or more when you enter the coupon code USA at check out. Or you can also have your items shipped to a local store for free. They have 30% off all Kenmore appliances, buy one, get one free on select bras and 50% off 2 piece baby sets from Carters. Check out the savings online for great discounts this weekend.

The Gap is having a fun sale, up to 44% off selected items in store and online to celebrate the 44 presidents. Okay, that’s pretty creative. They are offering 44 styles in each category, (mens, womens, kids, babies). They are also offering extra discounts sale items and have some terrific deals on women’s fashions.

JC Penny is having a sale 50% off ALL FURNITURE and MATTRESSES, so if you have been wanting to redo the kid’s rooms or the living room, this would be a good time to do it. This is an online only sale, so you don’t even have to leave the house. 🙂 The new room will come to you. Urban Outfitters is having a cool sale where you can pick price points from $9.99 and under to $29.99 on sale merchandise. They have lots of fun deals, especially on graphic T-shirts for the whole family. But I have to say my personal favorite is the dookie key covers for $4.00. What? We have one still in diapers…we are deep in dookie here. 😮
Home Depot
Home Depot is having a sale on paint. Remember that kitchen, bedroom, kids room and living room redecorating project you wanted to start in January? Maybe you didn’t…em…start it yet. GREAT! Here is the perfect time to get some paint. They are having a buy 3 get one free sale. While this seems like sort of a crummy offer, you can blow through three cans of paint pretty quickly, especially if you are doing a second coat of a large room. Buying paint can really add up, so saving on a 1 gallon or 5 gallon size of paint is really a helpful savings. Time to paint the kitchen Orange Sherbet 🙂
